Global demand for milk and dairy products will continue to grow steadily over the coming decades. The Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) and the Food and Agriculture Organisation of the United Nations (FAO) predict that global milk production will increase to more than 1.1 billion tonnes by 2034, but even this growth will not solve the issue of milk deficit.
The International Farm Comparison Network (IFCN) predicts that the demand for milk in developing regions will increase by as much as 140 million tonnes by 2030, while production will only reach 120 million tonnes, resulting in a milk deficit by 2030. The International Dairy Federation (IDF) portrays an even grimmer outlook, estimating that by 2030, the global demand for milk could exceed the supply by as much as 30 million tonnes. It means that even the projected increase in production will not cover the rapidly growing demand, and without new production capacity, including new farms, the milk shortage will only get worse.
In the long term, dairy producers who are able to deliver high performance, competitive costs and efficient management of all milk production processes will be the ones to reach their greatest potential.The farms that efficiently manage their entire milk production chain, from feed to the finished product, are at an advantage. It will house around 10,000 heads, including a herd of 4,500 dairy cows, and will produce around 51,000 tonnes of milk per year. A cattle farm complex of this size will generate an annual revenue of up to €33 million, depending on milk prices. The projected return on investment is 6 to 7 years


ONGOING FEES (Royalties) 1% to 3% of the franchisee’s revenue. Quarterly payments. The specific percentages may vary if the franchisor and the franchisee agreed otherwise. Revenue includes all income from the franchised milk production operations. Income from crop and livestock farming, exclusive of milk production, is not included in royalties. The franchisor and the franchisee shall specify in the contract the methodology for reporting the income from milk production.

Land requirements may vary depending on the proportion of the fodder produced on site; feed concentrates are assessed separately.
